The images from the series Collide are created by using the element of chance at the centre of the creation process. The photographs are formed out of random occurrences and frequent chance rather than a predetermined intentionality, thus embracing the unexpected and allowing for the freedom from conventional thought patterns.

The technique used in the creation of the photographs is one of a continuous multi-exposure with the subject matter being regular everyday city spaces, familiar architecture and a vague human presence, captured together in-camera on the surface of the film.

The nature of the work produced is an arrangement of random spaces and times making every photograph a unique construction. This construction is not only a formation of randomly positioned elements within an unspecified span of time, but rather an individual arrangement made out of them.
